I have been involved in web design for about 6 years — 3 years as a strong seasoned designer/programmer — just recently the past year I have taken on new concepts such as standards and accessibility. During this time I've visited a few conferences and meetings and heard some great topics, but I have never been the one on stage. This Tuesday RefreshOKC has given me my first opportunity to speak on the topic: "Design Process: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" — a topic that I feel is fresh on my mind and a topic that should maybe stir up some conversation since everyone has their own process to some point.
What is Refresh OKC?
RefreshOKC is a community of designers and developers working to refresh the creative, technical, and professional culture of Internet professionals in the Oklahoma City area. RefreshOKC will be meeting at the Ronald J. Norick Library located in downtown Oklahoma City (Room F on the fourth floor) at 6:30PM. The speaking lineup will consist of...
- 7:00PM - Jeff Davis, "Grid Design"
- 7:20PM - Neill Harmer, "CSS: From the Trenches"
- 7:40PM - Billy Mabray, "Perfecting your Form"
- 8:10PM - Michael Dick, "Design Process: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"
If you are within a drives reach to downtown OKC then you should come, it's great chit-chat with other talented designers/programmers and the topics are always full of great knowledge.
